Bathrooms in the Workplace

One thing that I think is totally weird is when I go to use the bathroom at work, and I see another woman (thankfully, I never know these women because they are in different departments) with a reading book!  I mean come on, this is a public place and I think it is weird to read your book in a public restroom.  I think oh man, they will be in here awhile, should I go to another restroom on a different floor?  (Steff, I know you are laughing right now).  It is even more weird when they come out of the stall to wash their hands, they put the book down on the counter.  Maybe its just me, but I do my silent reading at home.

One of my biggest pet peeves, is when you are alone in the bathroom with about 12 stalls (not exaggerating) and someone comes in and sits right next to you.  I mean, COME ON! Seriously?  You are going to sit right next to me.  It has taken all of myself not to say anything to those people.  I guess, it is more of me being shy in the bathroom then them, but sheesh.  I am just glad I am not a man, with the whole world to see.

Rudy in the superbowl commercial

I could not wait until Wednesday to do my Rudy Wednesday, because Rudy was in a commercial for the superbowl.  It was the one with the pug with the doritos.  It really wasn't him, but almost!

Hearts

I found out that I like hearts.  I thought they were girly, and maybe they are but I do enjoy them.  Now, do not get me wrong, I do not LOVE hearts and put them everywhere, but simple jewelry, like....a necklace Sean got me as a surprise present on our wedding night.  I was speechless, he is so thoughtful.  Then in my new office (yes, I get an office for me new job) I thought about a post it note dispenser I saw at Office Depot I liked and wish I would have got it, because it was so cute.  I have a little compact mirror that is shaped in a heart too.  I think I like them more as an accent item rather than defining me.  ha. I have no idea what I am talking about.  Maybe I am just anticipating Valentine's Day!  I cannot wait to hangout with my husband and remember all of our great memories on Valentine's Day.

I also cannot believe I have an adult office with a table and two extra chairs for guests to come and sit down.  WOW.  I feel like a little kid in a glass store with my parents saying, "now, don't touch anything!" But it feels pretty cool.  I even have my own phone line!!!

Any suggestions on how to decorate an office?  I cannot paint the walls and do not want to spend a lot.  Just little things here and there.  Come on you crafty people, help me out!

I broke down and got this cute post-it note dispenser on my way home from work.  I cannot wait to put it in my office!  I also need to get some fun trinkets like Michael Scott, or my own bobble head doll like Dwight lol.

Rudy Wednesday

Rudy was very excited about today, because his mommy was home with him.  I stayed home from work today because I am getting worse with my cold and am trying to recover.  It was such a treat for Rudy because he got to take care of me!  He cuddled with me during my first, and also second nap.  I sure needed this.  I am surrounded by mounds of kleenex and cold medicine but am thankful for my Rudy!  I think he is as wore out as I am!

Also, if you have not noticed, I do blog about random stuff, so if you would like me to talk about a funny story, or a topic of your choosing I will try and attempt it.

I like to take pictures too!

I have some friends that love to take pictures and are amazing at it!  If you hang around me long enough, you will understand I always take pictures of things going on and the memories to look at later through my scrapbooks.  But I also like to 'try' and take artistic photos as a hobby.  I have no idea what I am doing, but it is still fun.   Below are some pictures from a trip in 2007 that  I took in Switzerland in the Alps.  I just took them off of facebook from an old album.  Let me know what you think!
