What My Fall Has Looked Liked

Made a burlap banner to hang in my house.

Made pumpkin spice latte at home.

Made applesauce with family from the trees in our backyard.

My mom and I made felt pumpkins.

Spent time with Rudy while working from home.

Celebrated my dads birthday.

Have been traveling all over Western Washington, even taking ferries to recruit students to the University of Idaho.

Being a Young Life leader at costume club and sharing Jesus with middle schoolers.

Leading with Katie who is awesome.

My fall has been extremely busy, but it is my favorite time of year.  What has your fall been like?

Thanks for reading,

Coffee Shop

I LOOOOOOVE coffee!  I think it stemmed from my mom following her secret dream or fun job to start a coffee business.  Most people do not know that about my mom.  She had a great job and when she had my sister and me 14 months later....she quit it to open up a daycare to raise us kiddos and spend time with us without paying for daycare.  Then when I went into Kindergarten and instead of going back to her old job, she wanted to open up a coffee truck, because she would never be able to do it again.  I was not old enough to truly enjoy her dream and to taste the coffee, but she loved that time in her life.  What an adventure!  I have always dreamed of opening up a coffee shop ever since going to college and basically living in one for studying, reading, daydreaming, etc.  I hope one day my mom and I can work side by side doing what we love!  Anyway, this is just me posting some pictures and ideas of what I would love my coffee shop environment and atmosphere to be.

I would love for it to have:

-Welcoming atmosphere

-Comfy chairs for people to enjoy
-Chill music like Norah Jones and Landon Pigg
-Has to have at least one old brick wall (love those!)
-Books everywhere for people to read
-Local artwork on the walls
- A chalk board for people to write their thoughts and inspirations
-Of course, amazing coffee!

Hopefully, one day I will be posting about my own coffee shop, until then....a girl can only dream :)

Coffee Shops

Today, it is raining and it reminds me of when I used to go to coffee shops alone and hangout all day doing homework, reading my Bible, or just to think.  I love going to coffee shops to do homework, listen to music, read a really good book, or to find inspiration.  I love the feeling of being in a good coffee shop, even alone and just soaking up the atmosphere.  My favorite coffee shops are the ones that are unique, not chain and welcome you like a home.  I will miss Moscow, Idaho's unique coffee shops like Sisters Brew and One World.  I look forward to finding new ones and hopefully, one day open up my own unique coffee house.  Coffee shops with fun comfy chairs or couches are my favorite.

Over the holidays, Sean and I stayed with his family in Emmett, Idaho.  The next town was Eagle, Idaho and it has a wonderful coffee house called Rembrandts.  If you are in the area, I highly recommend their coffee and to stay awhile.  They have games you can borrow to play and it is in an old church that is remodeled to be a coffee shop.  Check out the fun pictures below:

Tell me about any fun or local coffee shops you have run across and love.  I would love to try them out sometime.
