Haiti our day of unknown

This is the room where Sean and I stayed, in twin beds :).  This was the first night we slept in them because we shared the house with another team and I slept in a room with a bunch of girls.  We got into our room and had to laugh at the twin beds, but it was fun.

Today was an open day, thus the title of unknown.  We were not sure what we would be doing until we got to Haiti.  We still did not know until late the previous evening.  We went to the same children's home   we did earlier this week and helped paint the inside of the their big room.  We stayed there all day and it was a lot of fun.  We did a coat of primer first, then yellow paint.  Some of the team helped paint and others played with the children.  I did a little of both.

I do not have a lot of the paint pictures, but a lot and I mean a lot of pictures of the children.  Hope you enjoy!

The children loved wearing our sunglasses

Chris with Natalie.  He ended up losing his Mariner hat at the children's home.  It is funny to see it disappear through these pictures.

This little guy saw me do the fish thing with my lips, then he tried.

She Loved doing this pose

Looking before we painted.

There is the hat :)

This was my favorite.  We did a lot of funny faces.

Chris entertaining the kids while we paint.

We had to get innovative.

She was so cute.  I taught her where to find Haiti on the map and she found it again three hours later.  She was so proud of herself.

She is not pointing to Haiti here just to be clear, she was not looking at the globe :).

Gross.

You can see Sean in the back of the tap tap.

Water still from the flooding.

Thanks for reading!  Hope you all had a great weekend!
